Bhutan is a once-in-a-lifetime destination for trekking. Bhutan is a real hiking paradise due to its breathtaking natural beauty and the remoteness of its walking routes. From a simple three-day journey from Thimphu to Paro to more challenging multi-day hikes like the fabled Snowman Trek, there are many different types of treks available. There are roughly 28 routes available for trekkers, with the Druk Path Trek, Jomolhari Trek, Dagala Thousand Lakes Trek, Laya Gasa Trek, etc. being the most well-known. Almost all of the hikes provide a glimpse into the delicate and distinctive daily life of the area in addition to opportunities for natural discovery. There aren’t many places in the world where you can hike for days without coming across a human settlement, but Bhutan has several of these pathways.
There are numerous pathways that lead to picturesque grasslands and animal pastures. Occasionally, unusual birds, tens of thousands of wildflowers in rioting, and, if you’re lucky, blue sheep and Himalayan vultures, may greet you.
